Admittedly, we are prone to impulses to possess all things beautiful. In performing our everyday routines, we latch onto life and its prospects. Even in less desperate circumstances, we demonstrate the compulsion to acquire.

If anything, we may learn a thing or two from less than successful attempts at capturing the splendour of fireworks displays on film or even digital media. At the end of the day, the moments that take our breaths away are etched in our memories.

Perhaps, that’s the way it should be - just so that when we reach into the depth of our memories, the beauty is complete and everlasting.
